Steven F. Sciamanna
Steven is a Senior Advisor at BioLPG LLC. He is also the CTO for Claire Technologies Corp. responsible for technology development of a suite of carbon neutral technologies that form the EzH2TM Ecosystem. He is on the faculty of the Product Development Program (PDP), a professional MS degree program in the Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering Dept. at the University of California, Berkeley. In addition, Steven consults to start-up companies in a variety of areas including new process technology, grid-scale energy storage and advanced materials.
Prior, he served as president of Seralar Technologies which developed a, high-efficiency, sulfur recovery technology (UltraClaus); as managing partner of PolyDiamond Technologies which developed diamondoid-based nanoparticles and oligomers via plasma-polymerization to enhance the performance characteristics of polymers. For three years he taught the undergraduate Chemical Engineering Process Design capstone course at UC Berkeley. Steven also had a long and extensive career at Chevron with both foreign and domestic assignments in upstream process & facilities engineering, R&D, new technology development and deployment in O&G, fertilizers and precious metals recovery. He was the R&D Director of Molecular Diamond Technologies (MDT), a business unit of Chevron Technology Ventures Co.
Steven’s expertise is in separations science and process engineering with patents in a wide variety of subject areas. He received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and an M.S. degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) School of Chemical Engineering Practice.
